In this tutorial series I'll be creating a voxel based RTS Game in Unity3D
In this video we will add surface and trees
Through out the series you will learn:
1. Building a game world based on a PNG image
● We will use a png image to build our voxel world.
2. Unit selection
● As in any other RTS game, we will need to be able to select.
3. Material farming
● We need to be able to farm materials so that we can create buildings and units.
4. Updaing a navmeh on the fly
● When we remove elements from the game world, we have to update the navmesh to reflect the new world.
5. Optimizing the game for high FPS
● We will merge meshes to uptimize the performance.
6. Creating cartoonish lighting
● We will use post processing to make the light look great.
7. Building
● We will add building to the game. F.eks. barracks, blacksmith etc.
8. Creating units
● We will be able to build different units
9. Hunting
●We will be able to hunt animals for food.
