First we'll look at how to improve the perspective puzzles to make them more intuitive for playtesters using some new shaders, and creating an approximation model in Blender. Then I'll show you how I used C#, Unity VFX Graph, and Catmull Rom to generate some creepy tendrils that I didn't end up even using. In the end I animate and code the monster hand from a previous devlog to serve the same purpose, which is to give locked gates a visual representation. Finally we'll look at some big graphical improvements to the uncoloured world, show off a new mechanic that will be fully fleshed out for the next devlog, and get a quick glimpse at an effect from the end of the demo. I hope you enjoy the video, and please leave your thoughts down below. Don't forget to like, subscribe and of course, wishlist the game on Steam! Song: Drifting at 432 Hz - Unicorn Heads Original Score by John Konsolakis: www.johnkonsolakis.eu Farewell North is my personal passion project, an open world adventure game about restoring color to a dark and desolate archipelago where all color and life has left. You play as a collie working alongside your human companion to explore, solve puzzles, evade monsters, and restore color to the islands. #devlog #gaming #videogames #indiedev #indiegame #gamedev #unity #unity3d #madewithunity #steam #steamgame #blender #graphics #puzzle
