Mech combat at a grand scale: From small skirmishes to epic battles with hundreds of active units.
Drop into combat. Either alone, leading your squad, or commanding an army. Combined arms combat pits you against a large array of opposing units, where you can pilot any units under your command. Customize the weapon and equipment loadout for your Mech, Tank, VTOL, and Battle Armour to best suit the mission at hand.
Wade through battle wreaking devastation with a large variety of powerful weapons systems. Take part in the evolving battlefield, with fully destructible debris and unit wreckage.
With incredible diversity and depth, the procedural campaign provides a large amount of replayability as you wage war across the star cluster. Face logistic and tactical decisions throughout the campaign as you vie for control of strategic resources, pivotal star systems, and political objectives. Completed or failed mission objectives will have serious consequences as they impact future missions and campaign operations.
Outside the campaign, play in Hot Drop missions: Generate a one-time procedural mission, or a fully customizable drop scenario.
We're an #indiedev team called Pill Bug Games, and we're creating a brand new #mechgame called Drop Command. It's going to have 3rd person and 1st person combat, large battles with tons of units, and best of all it will be full of strategic decision making where you can control large armies in your battle for supremacy. You will be able to pilot any unit in the game, including but not limited to mechs, VTOLs, tanks, and power armour. Weapons hardpoints will give you access to a variety of powerful weapon types, and strategic options such as orbital bombardments will be available to you as the battlefield commander. This game is being made using the #Unity Engine, and we are very excited to share this coding game development adventure with you, as we build the game and create #gamedev logs to share our process with you.
